Since Ratti resurfaced two weeks ago Jack the Cat has been (ahem) acting out. The day we found Ratti Jack decided that the third floor carpet was actually a litter box and waited until we were talking to him to make a deposit.

Then he discovered the bathtub. Circumstantial evidence only made him the guilty party.v (Cat urine in the tub, Jack jumping out. Maybe a jury of his peers wouldn't convict, but it made me sure he was the guilty party.)

And then yesterday, he decided to make another deposit on the bathroom rug. [img]frown.gif[/img] Since he'd wait until he had a human audience, it had nothing to do with the box, and more to do with his state of mind.

Erin took Jack home last night and he is reportedly happy being an only again. [img]graemlins/cat.gif[/img]

And this little update makes me wonder why we don't have a better cat graemlin.

It's funny, Greg. Jack adopted us in August of 2003 and was a low key but companionable cat until we brought Rocket in.

Rocket is very territorial and a royal pain sometimes. I think Ratti resurfacing sent Jack over the edge. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Erin reported this morning that Jack ran from room to room, looking for other cats, and then settled down when he realized he was alone. [img]smile.gif[/img]

To me this is a win-win all around. Erin needs a pet. Jack needs a human.

Ahhhh, not that is just plain wrong. Poor little Kitty. I guess there is a bright spot, I'm sure they don't have to worry about the cat getting up on the furniture, counters etc...
